Grails issue with linux mint -

Grails issue with linux mint -

i seem have problem running grails commands in terminal. cant seem run grails commands when root can run them when logged user-name? using linux mint 16.

so cant run grails root.i tried setting path variable in /etc/profile still cant seem run grails root. cant find path grails home variable can find maven home & java home path variables.its grails cant seem find root.

i have normal zip file extracted onto download folder , running grails install there.

why want run in grails root? there's nil grails or plugins know of damage, running gant scripts root , able anything, , conveniently. consider feature saved lot of stress , frustration, , don't seek utilize root.
