here situation facing. have critical database have defined root user user business relationship used applications need read database.

however, (other admin) need query sections of database, dump them csv file using next command - select ... outfile 'test.dat' work file privilege needs granted.

however, understand page - http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/privileges-provided.html#priv_file, give him ability not dump results of query csv file (accidentally) take csv file , insert database, want prevent @ costs.

what can do? how allow him utilize file alternative not allow him utilize load info infile option?
