i'm reading trough http://framework.zend.com/manual/1.12/en/zend.feed.pubsubhubbub.introduction.html , trying understand how pubsubhubbub subscription works. specifically, credentials store or how hub identify subscriber. subscriber has rss/atom client id, how know client id is? or more precisely, how hub know subscriber or how tell new subscriber is?

the algorithm subscribers pretty simple.

fetch existing rss feed look link[@rel="hub"] subscribe hub identified href of link[@rel="hub"] sending feed url (hub.topic) , webhook server (hub.callback) confirm subscription when hub sends verification hub.callback wait notifications via post requests on hub.callback content in them.

that's it.

there no credentials involved, there no "your hub" subscriber, no client id...
