database administration - SQL Server : Index creation on Large Tables -

is there way create index on big tables?

i have partitioned table 90 1000000 records in 43 partitions. takes 10-14 hrs create non clustered index on it. need drop , recreate index on other column.

any suggestions cut down time of index creation helpful.
