previously, had downloaded sql server 2008 r2 express advanced service (so includes sql server management studio). want uninstall application. when attempted perform this, received next error:

sql server 2008 r2 sp1 database engine shared feature trying utilize on network resource unavailable. click ok seek again, or come in alternate path folder containing installation bundle 'sql_engine_core_shared.msi' in box below.

the sql_engine_core_shared.msi cannot found anywhere on machine. have suggestions? have done lot of searching no success. tia.

this original exe had downloaded, , when starts unpacks bunch of files guid-named folder on c drive:

sqlexpradv_x64_enu.exe

at point later file deleted, why no longer find required msi file. did resolve issue start exe, re-create files in directory different location don't deleted. then, when run installer, , dialog comes pointed directory backup location , uninstall completed successfully, e.g.,

c:\mysqlserverinstallbackup\1033_enu_lp\x64\setup
