windows runtime - Accessing OneDrive as a StorageFolder from the local storage -

i have been developing 1 windows store app win 8.1. there way access user's onedrive synced on hard drive? need access storagefolder. knownfolders , libraries. reason behind doing gallery app displays thumbnails of videos , pictures. when users decides app shows media in total size , if video, played. app counts on fact onedrive automatically syncs data, need retrieved via live sdk api. if utilize rest, slow. know if there way accomplish mentioned approach or maybe alternative?

i have been researching extensively, no avail.

thank you!

all best, rosko

as nate mentioned, gain access folder through folderpicker api. there's no direct way obtain storagefolder location.

once storagefolder , enumerate contents, piece want know storagefile.isavailable api, storagefile.getthumbnailasync/getscaledimageasthumbnailasync. isavailable flag tells whether file has been downloaded/synced, because user might have indicated "online only" files.

i write bit in chapter 11 of free ebook programming windows store apps html, css, , javascript, 2nd edition (page 575, pages 593-597), including table how onedrive availability works metered networks. includes using thumbnails.

there's talk //build 2013 on this, "what new in working files" marc wautier, http://channel9.msdn.com/events/build/2013/2-119. should reply onedrive questions.
