android - How do I find Google Play version? -

when setting gradle, have add together like:

compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services:6.1+'

i don't utilize +, can know version project beingness compiled , can avoid surprise bugs.

in order find google play version have downloaded, go library xml file can find like: "6171000", version integer.

is there simpler way figure out version need write on gradle?

cd module (eg: app) dir, , run gradle command line ..\gradlew -q dependencies --configuration compile. resolve + , , show exact version beingness used library. see below.

or, if utilize android studio, when modify/edit version (eg: delete/add + @ end), android studio show yellow-bulb action replace specific version, click on automatically replace + exact version available.
