Simple JAVA package (possibly code) for a grid visualization -

i going start project on markov decision processes , starting basic framework work in. first thing want set grid of n n, cells empty or occupied class of agents (lets monkey, banana , palm tree). want able visualize java. hoping not have write code scratch, i.e. visualization part.

so, grid of n n, (possible) word, image or number in each cell. ideas on existing packages?

i think can utilize jtable
