javascript - Safari's getBoundingClientRect() Implementation Returns Incorrect Top -

i have div float: right , i'm trying distance top of viewport. in every browser except safari i'm getting expected results element.getboundingclientrect().top. safari appears reporting element's distance top of page rather viewport. contrary defined in spec method (as understand it). safari not next rules here, or other browsers beingness more forgiving of error of mine i'm not seeing?

this appears bug effects way safari reports element , scroll locations on load event. if run exact same phone call 500ms timeout works expected.

i update when hear on bug report.

javascript dom safari getboundingclientrect
