php - Drupal Install resulting in white pages -
i installing drupal 7.33 on latest version of linux mint. i've installed mysql via software repos...same apache, php, mysql workbench, , on. drupal next instructions website (downloading .tar.gz /var/www/html, extracting it, setting permissions, etc.).
now have run apparently common, curious problem. after completing work, browsed localhost/install.php; appeared proceeding smoothly until nail 'setup database page'; instead of moving onto next page after clicked button @ bottom, appeared reload current page; quick check of database shows many tables having been created, appears have access. navigation page has me run through first few steps, followed skipping next few, , landing on 'configure site' page which, when filled out , button pressed, leads me white page.
somehow sense permission's problem, yet followed instructions letter. have ideas doing wrong here?
