i have configured hbase , integrated hdfs on windows successfully. using hbase version 0.98.6.1-hadoop2 , hadoop version 2.5.1 followed hbase quick start tutorial. if run hbase (without hbase.cluster.distributed property) works fine. otherwise shows this not implemented yet. remain tuned. how start hbase in cluster distributed mode on windows without cygwin?

as per knowledge can in these ways

1) utilize cygwin (not in requirements).

2) utilize vmware or virtualbox

3) utilize microsoft hdinsights (suitable you)

before starting hbase create sure hadoop in distributed mode , working hbase work in distributed mode else run in local mode.
