java - How to connect a Groovy app to Meteor DDP? -

i've got groovy app mature. no chance of rewriting in meteor in near term. i'd switch meteor ui.

there seems lot of overlap between names confusing. there meteorframework written in groovy in 2010, seems have nil meteor. there atmosphere framework , grails atmosphere meteor plugin, don't think have ddp. (not sure this.) atmosphere bundle site unfortunate naming collision.

i did find java ddp client, requires java 8, , not sure what's involved in moving groovy application java 8.

what simplest way of adding ddp capabilities groovy application, can write ui in meteor?
