excel - Search for specific words in cells, add true or false if even one is present -

so i've googled internet, can't seem find proper function.

i have cells containing categories , in each cell, they're different.

example:

art, history architecture, design, art, magic photography, design

what i'm after this, if cell contains 1 word specific list, add together true or false next cell.

i know there's function find specific word cell , true or false it:

=if(isnumber(search("art";k3));"true";"false")

and found need, doesn't seem working in openoffice:

=if(count(search({"architecture","magazines","movie","music","photography","theory"},k2)),"true","false")

how can done?

your sec formula work in excel array formula. in openoffice array formula needed.

the formula is:

{=if(sum(not(iserror(search({"architecture","magazines","movie","music","photography","theory"},k2))))>0,"true","false")}

to come in array formula in openoffice, come in formula first , click fx then. in function wizard dialog check [x] array checkbox.

if fill array formulas downwards cell handle, create range array. not goal in case. thats why not fill cell handle. re-create formula , paste other cells.

excel openoffice.org openoffice-calc
