R shiny app doesn't print to console -

i implementing r shiny application. using cat , print write console , able see going on.

in server.r have calls cat before shinyserver function , work well. have though other calls cat within shinyserver , content not printed although code executed, see output in web ui, in reactive block. ui.r uses submitbutton in case makes difference.

as far have read, cat should send console unless redirected, not doing. using cat file="" , file=stdout() seek avoid redirection.

if run app shortcut on console gets open situation same. ideas on can happening?

i utilize r 3.1.1 , r studio 0.98 in windows 7.
