version control - How to resolve cvs error: no such system user -

i trying setup cvs on 1 our server ( let's phone call jedi). there production server called dvader. able log in dvader jedi using cvs login command production user stwar. however, cvs status next error :

fatal error, aborting. dsicnspr: no such scheme user

i have setup .passwd in cvsroot folder production user stwar business relationship on dvader shown below.

stwar:hsfwfewiiu34de

however, there no business relationship of stwar which our production id on jedi cvs server. there no entry of stwar in /etc/passwd file on jedi. tried using systemauth=no in config file within cvsroot not working.

jedi cvs server used development , have other user business relationship e.g. lia able login jedi.

can please tell me how rid of error ? need setup business relationship stwar on jedi , create entry in /etc/passwd file ?

sudo chown -r :cvs /opt/cvsroot sudo chmod -r g+ws /opt/cvsroot (if have selinux enforcing) semanage fcontext -a -t cvs_data_t '/opt/cvsroot(/.*)?' restorecon -r -v /opt/cvsroot

for example:

[root@*** ~]# ls -l /usr/local/repo/cvsroot/passwd*

**-rw-rwsr--**. 1 root cvs 23 nov 30 10:51 /usr/local/repo/cvsroot/passwd -> no error

**-rw-r--r--**. 1 root cvs 1033 dec 10 13:59 /usr/local/repo/cvsroot/passwd.backup -> error questions above!
