iOS app updating process -
apologies if has been asked before couldn't find specific situation..
i've been tasked creating new version of app on market place. unfortunately, client has access binary , not source code previous development team didn't provide information.
the client has been unable in touch previous development team can assume getting hold of original source code off table.
i wondering, in case this, how ios upgrade procedure work?
as additional question, possible new app access info stored old app , if so, can point me in right direction on how go doing please?

if have access itunes connect account, app published problem not large: can update app binary have same application id (bundle identifier) , larger version number.
you can have access info of previous version - either it's stored in nsuserdefaults or app documents folder etc., should have clue of format (e.g. keys of nsuserdefaults) - reverse engineering science of binaries can help.
