Remove duplicate in combobox in Data Entry Form (Microsoft Access 2010) -

i developing simple database competition microsoft access 2010. there 1 issue facing right , need help.

in table schools, have list of school participate in competition, year participate (the competition organized every year , 1 school can participate in many years). have table called team, contain teams come different schools, , create info entry form entity. , create easy type in, create combobox school list, when people type in team information, can take school name list.

however, because 1 school can participate in many years, there duplicates in combobox. please help me how remove duplicates?

i tried select distinct did not work.

any recommend? thks in advance.

i don't know if have plenty info give help want, if understanding correctly may want utilize grouping in query combo box.

something (i don't field name used "schoolname")

select schools.schoolname schools grouping schools.schoolname;
