Xpages tooltips stop showing -

this seems unusual one.... have xpages repeat, within i'm displaying grid of images, each in inputrichtext. each of images has tooltip (from extension library) associated it. tooltips work fine point in grid, 1 of elements "breaks" something, , no more tooltips displayed point on. since within repeat, code of course of study identical. html in browser shows different things between working , broken tooltips, though; example:

<div id="dijit_tooltip_8" class="dijittooltipdata" lang="en" style="display:none;" dojotype="dijit.tooltip" connectid="view:_id1:rowrepeat:4:parentpanel" widgetid="dijit_tooltip_8">

which works (and lastly 1 in list does), vs:

<div style="display:none;" dojotype="dijit.tooltip" connectid="view:_id1:rowrepeat:5:parentpanel">

which doesn't work. (parentpanel xpages panel contains image , label. still fails if point straight inner inputrichtext containing image.) latter doesn't have id or widgetid, makes me suspicious, given xpages-generated code, i'm not sure how proceed.

this turned out caused unrelated. using repeat generate convoluted html, , there error there. don't know happening, apparently broke html plenty block mouse hover detection in areas. so, tooltip fine.
