i making 80x25 vga text-mode simulator in javascript , trying terminal resize window opposed fixed-size terminal in corner (like previous effort @ project). how scale text fill container in css?

i inquire because able create spans each character ~4.16% width , 1.25% height screen 80x25, font-size percents relative current size of font.

xy problem? maybe. i'll edit improve question if determined so.
