i working on electronic gradebook among other things allows user store students , grades in java desktop application. want able send info on net through stream ruby on rails sqlite3 database. purpose students can access reports relating grades ruby on rails application. i’m hoping create connection simple possible. both java , rails applications finish (although rails sqlite3 database needs normalized). problem don’t have experience connecting applications , cannot find info relating how connect java desktop application ruby on rails sqlite3 database. if able find single illustration or book dealt work with. far understanding, general me with, should utilize rest api , json or jruby. rails application created, want stick standard rails. if able refer me working illustration or offer insight grateful.
